04/25/2005: "Trivia"
I was just watching a Japanese TV show and learned that there is the world's longest-named lake in Massachusettes: Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg. They had the footage of the sign of the lake, and I did confirm this on Mind Candy. Crazy. What does it mean anyway?
I went to see my friend James' film "Puzzlehead" at Tribeca Film Festival this afternoon. As he was joking in his introduction, I was among his friends and family who kept wondering whether he was ever going to finish his film. But he finally did it, and did it exceptionally. His premier was a sold-out show, and it was very well-made, stylish and quite thought provoking. He is one of few friends still getting at making films, and I respect and envy that. But I'm also proud of the detour I took and where I ended up. Still didn't have time to paint the bathroom.
